Dr. Shah takes pride in treating all his patients with excellent care and compassion. Dr. Shah grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland at college park where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology. This is also where he developed an interest in sport specific shoe gear. Dr. Shah has served as wear tester for New Balance shoes, providing the company with valuable information in design and functionality for running shoes. This prompted him to pursue and earn his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL.

Diabetic Foot Care

Both of Dr. Shah's parents are diabetic. He learned at an early age how to give his father insulin injections. Dr. Shah realized the importance of a diabetic person's feet, which are routinely in need of treatment. With the rising number of Diabetic foot amputations he has actively participated in the care for Diabetics to prevent amputations with routine proper foot care, early detection and routine examination.

During his internship in San Antonio Dr. Shah participated in a medical mission which provided much needed foot care to an under-developed area in Juarez, Mexico.
